Dreams are intimate. This page explains, in plain language, what Dreambound Journal collects, why, and what we will never do with it.
When you create an account we collect your email address, a display name if you choose one, and your birthday (used to suggest your starting archetype).
When you use Dreambound we store the dreams you record or type, the reflections generated for them, journal entries, tags, and your connections with friends you add.
If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; Stripe shares only your subscription status with us.
Your dream text is sent to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) solely to generate your reflection: the summary, symbols, archetypes, and prompts you see in the app. It is not used to train AI models.
Your dreams are private by default. They are only visible to a friend if you explicitly share a specific dream with them.
Your account and journal are stored with Supabase, our database provider, on managed cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit.
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. Delete a dream and it is removed from our database.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not show ads. We do not share your dreams with anyone you haven't chosen to share them with.
You can delete individual dreams at any time inside the app. To delete your entire account and all data, or to ask anything about this policy, email us and we'll take care of it promptly.
Questions about privacy: emma@final.co. This policy may be updated as Dreambound grows; meaningful changes will be noted in the app.
